Join our team as a Mechanical Engineer in Minneapolis, MN, to help shape the next generation of our truck products. In this role, you’ll lead impactful design improvement projects, applying strong engineering fundamentals to deliver innovative, high‑quality, and cost‑effective solutions. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, develop and validate designs, and bring improvements to life in production.

Where is the work:
From Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues in Minneapolis, MN. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires
What you will do:
Apply systematic problem-solving skills to define issues, identify root causes, and develop and implement corrective actions to meet customer needs.
Generate, evaluate, analyze and develop design concepts for mechanical components and assemblies to meet product requirements provided by Product Management.
Develop clear technical requirements in collaboration with product development teams and suppliers, and present materials in formal and informal environments.
Develop DFMEA and DVP (design verification plan), execute test plans, and analyze and summarize test results.
Conduct design reviews, provide status updates to stakeholders, and present projects to leadership for approvals as part of our phase gate process.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering designs, drawings, documentation and Bill of Materials.
Maintain orderly project records. Analyze, condense and present data results and recommendations.
Author lab test plans, conduct testing, analyze and interpret results and execute design updates based on the results.
Domestic and international travel (up to 10%) may be required.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2-5 years’ experience in engineering or product development is required. Master’s degree in engineering is a plus.
Knowledge of refrigeration system technologies, structural engineering is a plus.
Familiarity with problem solving processes, tools and techniques (8D, 6 sigma / DMAIC, root cause analysis tools- DFMEA, 5-why, fishbone etc.)
Experience with product development phase/gate processes
Experience with Electrical components like wire harness, alternators, relays, is a plus
Developing new concepts, conducting feasibility studies, and developing and executing validation plans
Pro/Engineer or Creo proficiency preferred. Familiarity with Windchill/Teamcenter is an advantage.
Familiarity with project planning / management and organizational skills.
Compensation:
Annual Pay Range: $80,000 – 110,000
