Join Trane Technologies as a Manufacturing Electrical Test Engineer in Pueblo, CO. This role is responsible for technical support of processes related to the testing of HVAC chillers. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

Where is the work:  
This position will be onsite each day in Pueblo, CO and is considered a safety sensitive role. 

What you will do:

·         Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology.

·         Assumes responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE Savings.

·         Ensures all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations.

·         Drives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering.

·         Working with a cross functional team to manages, develop, and improve testing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, and systems.

 

What we expect of you: 

·       BS Engineering or Engineering Technologies degree required

·       3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

·       Knowledge of basic design and manufacturing datum development and its effect in manufacturing processes

·       Understanding of control system design and coding

·       Project leadership and team building skills required

·       Possess initiative to further develop technical skills, interpersonal skills and career path

·       Strong work ethic, great attitude, customer-focused, team-oriented and results driven

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $75,000-$110,000.

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
