Where is the work:  

From Monday to Thursday, work onsite in Davidson, NC with your colleagues. On Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

Job Summary: 

Technology Project Manager for the Indirect Procurement organization. Provide leadership to cross functional team members while balancing resources and addressing issues and barriers to drive implementation of key enterprise projects supporting business critical growth through technology and non-technology enablement projects. The role involves working with business partners and key functional areas to develop and execute on technology and non-technology specific projects with required business cases, project plans and change management communications in support of company growth.

What you will do:   

  • Lead, manage, and execute technology-specific and non-technology enablement projects for Indirect Procurement to support business critical growth across Trane Technologies.

  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders and/or other impacted functional areas/teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, required resources, and success metrics for key enablement projects.

  • Drive strong stakeholder collaboration and execution of all projects maximizing total value to Trane Technologies.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans that adhere to Trane Technologies program governance standards and ensure timely execution.

  •  Communicate and document project updates and/or significant changes, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders, leadership, and governance bodies, as needed, with clarity and transparency.

  • Ensure technology-specific projects comply with cybersecurity requirements, data protection expectations, and enterprise architecture guidelines, as necessary/appropriate.

  • Create and/or update all standard work resulting from completed projects.  Train Indirect Procurement teams accordingly and ensure resources available for future reference through the Trane Technologies’ management system.  

  • Support prioritization of Indirect Procurement projects including business case development.

  • Responsible for development and execution of change-management plans to support adoption of technology and non-technology projects minimizing organizational disruption.

  • Support Indirect Procurement participation in Value Steam Analysis including leading RIE’s and Projects, as assigned.  This will include a focus on identifying root causes and problem-solving solutions.

  • Drive continuous improvement by facilitating lessons learned sessions and contributing to the enhancement of project management methodologies and digital tools.

  • ​​​​​​​Travel – Estimated at 10%

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, software development, IT project delivery, or technical leadership.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience

  • PMP Certified or in process of certification.

  • Analytics experience including Strong BI knowledge.

  • Global project management experience a plus.

  • 3+ years’ sourcing and integrated supply chain experience a plus.

  • Microsoft Project Expertise.

  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project).

  • Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving initiatives including developing and implementing strategic plans.

  • Experience with challenges of launching new programs and/or business processes.

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with various stakeholders, whether technical or non-technical, and positively influence others throughout the organization to achieve project goals.

  • Must be a proactive change agent and possess leadership skills to build and maintain a team-oriented environment while leveraging lean methodologies.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and high adaptability to manage multiple priorities and projects with varying degrees of complexity at the same time in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $60,0000- $106,0000 Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
