Where is the work: (Work location & Mode of work): This position has been designated as On-Site Based in Kolkata location.
What will you do:
- Provide technical expertise on HVAC equipment such as chillers, FCUs, and AHUs, selecting components based on project specifications and developing optimized, cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and present technical proposals, BOQs, technical clarifications, and value engineering options, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer expectations.
- Provide parts and service quotations to customers based on service reports, updating service tools like TSC/Oracle-R12 to capture cost and selling details.
- Handle warranty claims with respect to part identification and update TSC for costing and issuance of SC for AMC proposals three months in advance to ensure timely renewals.
- Enter orders in TSC based on customer purchase orders, evaluating customer POs and associating approvals and PO terms for correct reporting and audit perspective.
- Follow up with factories (SMC, USA, Epinal & China/AP) for parts shipments, coordinating with the service team, OMD, and customer support.
What you will bring: (Roles & Responsibilities)
- A strong understanding of HVAC systems and system design principles, including psychrometrics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- The ability to understand customer needs, tailor solutions, and support the sales process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail to address technical challenges and create optimal solutions.
- The ability to work effectively with sales, engineering, and other departments, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Experience in the HVAC industry and familiarity with HVAC equipment, from air-side to water-side applications.
- Proficiency with relevant software, such as AutoCAD, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and manufacturer-specific selection tools (e.g., for chillers).
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, along with proven experience in the HVAC industry, specifically in application engineering, technical support, or a prior pre-sales/sales engineering role (typically 3-5+ years).
