Trane Technologies is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our modeling & simulation team as a Senior Engineer – Acoustics. In this pivotal role, the team member has to apply his/her computational, experimental and analytical Acoustics knowledge to support the design activities at various stages of the project. Having an in-depth knowledge of CFD (or) FEA with demonstrated experience in respective simulations/ testing is an added advantage. He/She will interact with different SBU stakeholders and will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of the deliverables. He/She is required to contribute individually to modeling, analysis and documentation

Where is the work:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week based in Bangalore location.
What will you do:
In this role you will:
· Demonstrates a good level of competency in understanding the fundamentals of Acoustics in terms of its source, propagation and mitigation.
· Provide solutions to technical challenges using his/her computational, experimental, and analytical skills.
· Develop standard practices and suggest new analysis methodologies for improving the Acoustics predictions.
· Delivering high-impact global projects via independent contributions.
· Understand the project requirements, plan and execute the projects with quality and in agreed upon timelines.
· Assume responsibilities for the execution and delivery of assigned Acoustics/CFD/FEA projects with less supervision.
· Support and develop the long- and short-term plan of the Acoustics/CFD/FEA team by contributing to the development of new competencies.
· Work closely with cross-functional and product teams on providing design solutions.
What you will bring:
· Masters/PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace or Applied Mechanics (or closely related field) with Acoustics/CFD/FEA as major area of research/work. He/she should have at least 3-5 years of experience in above-mentioned areas.
· Knowledge in Acoustics and noise control (specific to HVAC products is desirable).
· Should be able to perform Acoustics (Aero/Vibro) simulations, with emphasis on fan/blowers.
· Good depth in CFD (or) FEA with experience in performing simulations is an added advantage
· Hands-on experience on Acoustics/CFD/FEA tool preferably Actran, ANSYS Mechanical, Fluent, CFX, or Simcenter.
· Theoretical knowledge of Acoustics, Numerical methods, Fluid dynamics and FEA.
· Experience in Acoustics testing is desirable.
· Experience in the HVAC industry is desirable.
· Knowledge of AI/ML, IIOT and digital twin is preferred.
· Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills required.
· Knowledge of programming languages and proven examples of improving productivity using various scripts.
· Ability to work in a matrix team environment for the common objectives
