As a Senior Change Agent, you will be responsible for implementing and leading lean transformation including daily management initiatives by ensuring strategies are implemented, and principles/practices/tools are incorporated in the culture and processes under transformation. Supports and provides guidance in actions that bring improvements which may include, but are not limited to safety, customer value proposition, quality, productivity, delivery, cycle, growth, margin expansion, and inventory.

Where is the work: Arecibo, Puerto Rico

What you will do:  

  • Lead assigned lean transformation activities and implement required strategies to achieve objectives.

  • Support the Value Stream Coach and Value Stream Team in implementing lean transformation initiatives

  • Supervise assigned operational excellence employees and provide necessary guidance to ensure goals are accomplished.

  • Utilize value stream mapping techniques to design optimal information, material, and production flow methods

  • Participate actively in MDI boards, 9 steps, JDI’s, RIE’s, Gemba walks, among other plant initiatives.

  • Provide coaching in the use of lean/value stream tools, methodology and concepts.  Ensure improvements are made and sustained

  • Facilitate presentations, trainings and projects as needed.

  • and/or lead events such as to act as a change agent to bring about improvements in the manufacturing process through the active support, participation and leadership of Rapid Improvement Events; includes: 

  • Execute key activities as part of Lean Transformation and daily management including tasks such as 

    o   Conducting value stream analyses

    o   Conducting cycle time analyses, time studies, line balance improvements, workplace analysis and improvement

    o   Creating and implementing standard work, and teaching/coaching line leaders to do the same

    o   Obtaining required fixtures, tools, work aids, poke yokes to support workplace changes

    o   Implementing / coaching the use of cell control boards and other visual management tools

    o   Assisting operations in problem solving issues affecting takt attainment

    o   Resolving issues after Rapid Improvement events to achieve desired state

  • Track all changes/improvements made to provide Value Stream Leadership/Management the assurance that changes are effective and lasting, includes: 

    o   Examining and evaluating the areas after improvements are implemented

    o   Posting/updating results to the Mission Control Center boards

  • Review new procedures/controls and appraising the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and working with the Value Stream Coach, Site Leader, Department Managers and Supervisors to resolve any issues that might arise during implementation and/or maintenance phases 

    o   Monitor and report on key metrics

    o   other duties as identified by the Value Stream Coach to further the site’s Lean Manufacturing initiative

  • Execute other tasks and projects, as required.

  • Comply and ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures including those related to EHS and ISO.

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor of Science, Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Previous experience leading teams.
  • Strong Leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Strong knowledge in computers (MS Office).
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in continuous improvement tools (ex. Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Technical skills and manufacturing processes and / or materials knowledge.
  • Problem solving / analytical skills.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences at different levels.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
