Job Summary:

The Refrigeration Systems Design Engineer applies knowledge of HVAC subsystems to design and validate air- and water-cooled chillers, create and maintain performance models, and support product development teams.

Where is the work:

Due to the nature of this role, this position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule, with work performed onsite 3 days each week. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop refrigeration subsystems to meet unit performance goals, regulatory requirements, and cost targets.
  • Develop and execute product validation test plans
  • Create and calibrate product performance models using test data
  • Support product regulatory compliance certification testing
Qualifications:
  • Design and physics modeling with HVAC products and components (compressors, heat exchangers, fans, controls, etc.)
  • Make decisions using data and models
  • Apply data analytics tools to lab and factory performance data
  • Apply heat transfer and fluid flow concepts to solve problems
  • Work with and lead small technical teams
  • Interpret industry codes and standards and apply to product designs
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar and at least three years work experience in HVAC

    Base Compensation Range is $76,000 - $100,000. 

    Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
