Quality Technician
Job Summary:
This position will provide comprehensive technical support to Trane’s Manufacturing, Quality team and other site leadership team members. Quality Technicians work with engineers with investigations of plant, supplier, and customer related quality issues. You will be responsible for providing a full range of technical solutions to product line, platforms and customer related items at the site and be in an environment where you can have a greater impact.
About the Role – You will:
- Conduct technical quality assurance inspections and use results to improve production processes and standards.
- Actively participle in Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving.
- Interface with engineering and production departments to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and to develop rework/repair instructions and procedures.
- Maintain clean, accurate data and documentation of all non-conforming material detected in Production..
- Assist in metric reporting to cross-functional teams utilizing our Quality Management System and Manufacturing Execution System software to allow for streamlined problem solving and root cause analysis of quality issues.
- Have a thorough understanding of technical components and processes involved in chiller assembly.
- Perform inspection and audit duties on a variety of parts/units involving first piece, in process and final inspection.
- Know how to read and interpret engineering requirements from text and drawings.
- Know how to use a variety of tools, precision-measuring instruments, and volt meters
- Be responsible for attending and updating MDI teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
· This position will be part of the Quality team that supports Trane’s Manufacturing and Engineering operations at our Pueblo, Colorado facility.

Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems testing and repair.
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and drawings.
- Familiarity with quality measurement tools, including dimensional and electrical measuring equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot the root cause of issues found in production or during End of Line testing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
2024 Base Pay Range (for Colorado Residents): $22.78 – $26.70 Based on experience.
