Job Summary:
The Materials Supervisor is responsible for providing daily planning, guidance and supervision to direct reports in receiving department. The leader must also supervise receiving operations and maintain records of all pertinent documentation.

Where is the work:
On-site, full-time at our Pueblo, CO plant with approximate working hours of Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm and every other Saturday. This role is considered safety-sensitive.
What you will do:
- Plan all receiving activities in keeping with the company’s objectives and targets
- Ensure timely unloading, receiving, storage and delivery of material to the storage locations
- Oversee and review receipt of all materials to ensure match to open purchase orders and the quality of materials received meets company standards
- Support the security and accountability of materials using established inventory control procedures
- Ensure receiving functions are performed safely and in accordance with established EHS procedures
- Take responsibility for the security of the building and stock
- Identify and implement cost reduction measures to drive operational efficiency
- Plan for the development of the staff by organizing training sessions
- Provide leadership: select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
- Manage suppliers and service providers that support receiving functions
- Motivate staff to make an effective and efficient team
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; valid work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Strong leadership skills, with excellent supervisory skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within operations or warehouse management environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and ERP software
- APICS certification preferred
- Good leadership skills to drive continuous improvements in the receiving operations
- Strong analytical & organizational skills…very detail oriented and be good with numbers
- Solid interpersonal skills…ability to motivate staff and to interact with various departments throughout the organization
- Resourceful, can find solutions to unusual problems and meet customer needs
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise with working with Carriers, Freight Forwarders and Vendors is beneficial
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $70,000 - $95,000/annually
