As a Material Control Manager, you will oversee and manage our inventory control operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory management processes. This role involves coordinating with various departments, implementing best practices, and utilizing advanced inventory management systems to optimize stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and support overall business objectives.

What you will do:   

  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials. Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and traceability. Continuously evaluate and refine processes to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Generate and present reports on inventory performance and metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication regarding inventory needs, stock levels, and order fulfillment.
  • System Management: Utilize and maintain inventory management software (ERP systems) to track inventory movements, manage stock levels, and generate accurate reports. Ensure data integrity and system accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train inventory control staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to procedures and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to inventory control and material handling.

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, material management, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and systems (ERP experience preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with inventory management software.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
