Job Summary:

Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintenance of all production and facility equipment with an emphasis on preventing downtime and resolving quality or production issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Work includes electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and mechanical troubleshooting. Maintenance employees work in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, and Standard Work guidelines.

Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days) at the Charlotte, NC Trane Remanufacturing plant location.

What you will do:

• Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and facility systems.
• Research, identify, and source replacement parts and equipment.
• Support planning and installation of new equipment and facility upgrades.
• Communicate with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers for equipment operation, service, and repairs.
• Attend mandatory safety training and follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Participate actively in all site safety programs.
• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance documentation.

What you will bring:

• Strong communication skills and excellent electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot effectively, and innovate when needed.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external partners.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical equipment and applicable codes; NC electrical contractor license preferred.
• Broad technical knowledge in electrical wiring, power systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
• Experience with electronics and PLCs is a plus.
• Machining experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across production equipment, facility systems, and HVAC.
• Demonstrated self‑starter attitude with ability to work independently.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively across work groups and organizational levels.

Compensation: 

Base Pay range: $35-38/ hourly
