Machine Operator II (3rd Shift)
This Machine Operator II position is on 3rd shift.
Hiring bonus of $500.00 payable after 90 days for new hires.
Wage starts at $20.99 plus $1.50/hour shift differential
Essential Functions: Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components and/or assemblies.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Blueprint Reading
Precision Tools and Measuring
Certifications:
- Forklift, if applicable
Quality Metric:
- Scrap Dollars
- Rejected and/or reworked parts
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.
- Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department.
- Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better.
- Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance
Introductory Level: Primary focus is learning the process

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)
- Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance: Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)
- Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance.
- Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.
- Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
- Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).

Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 18 months)
- Demonstrate ability to set-up and run >50% of operations in specific department with little or no assistance to include: Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)
- Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with little or no assistance.
- Demonstrate ability to do basic prototyping of parts with little or no assistance.
- Demonstrate the ability to calculate bend allowances and understand tooling radius.
- Demonstrate ability to perform preventive maintenance on related machinery and/or equipment.
- Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced without any assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.
