Where is the work:
What you will do:
This role will provide multi-disciplinary engineering technical leadership, utilizing systems engineering principles, processes, tools, and technical rigor.
- Develop new and/or enhanced systems engineering capabilities, with an emphasis on digital/model-based solutions
- Mentoring systems engineering practitioners on deployed capabilities and best practices
- Application of MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) methodologies and tools, supporting advancement of MBSE and Electrification strategic initiatives (both SBU and enterprise levels)
- Stakeholder needs & requirements elicitation & analysis
- System requirements definition & decomposition to subsystems/modules
- System architecture & modular design definition & analysis
- Identification of system interdependencies, with a consideration for emergent properties
- Concept trade-off analysis and facilitation
- System optimization – considering the holistic set of system perspectives in its operating environment
- Technical complexity management
- Utilizing modeling and simulation in development lifecycle activities
- Requirements & risk-based testing; system verification & validation
- Risk management
- Change & configuration management
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders and engineering functions
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline)
- At least 10 years' work experience leading and developing complex interdisciplinary systems (integration of mechanics, electronics, controls, powertrain, fluids, etc.)
- Demonstrated system-level technical leadership
- Extensive competencies in technical management, requirements definition, architecture definition, system analysis, DFMEAs, verification, and validation
- Product architecture definition methods, functional analysis, and product line design
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills required
- Must be able to work on multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Desired
- Experience in refrigeration systems and components, such as engines, fans, compressors, controls hardware/software, high voltage power electronics, etc.
- Understanding of transportation, off-road agricultural, or construction industries and equipment
- A demonstrated history of innovation, e.g. patent authorship
- Deep knowledge in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) practices/tools, and experience in applying MBSE to the full development lifecycle
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $ 100,000- $180,000
Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
