Graduate Engineer – HVAC Control Systems

Reporting to the Area Services Manager, your role is to provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service technicians across Brisbane and the surrounding areas. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• The purpose of this role is to be responsible for delivering sustainable and innovative solutions across Building Management System platforms collaboratively working with team members

• Liaising with clients, recommending upgrades, integration and building efficiency

• Report Writing - Producing accurate / automated reports / data mining

• Respond to client requests, programming and point to point scheduling

• Coding, Optimisation writing functions of the job, software and graphics

• Integration of BMS Controls and or third parties using Lonworks, Bacnet or Modbus

• Programming and on-site commissioning

• Controller, database and network configuration

• Workstation and server configuration

• End user training

Technical Skills

• A professional disposition and strong client liaison skills

• The ability to take ownership of your work and the ability to coordinate across trades on site

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Reporting and travel requirements may be varied from time to time in accordance with company needs and project locations

• Development, Programming and IT networking skills

• Controller and network configuration skills

• Workstation and server configuration skills

• Positive attitude and ability to self learn

Desirable

• Must have the ability to read and interpret product specifications and experience in working with specifications

• Niagara certification and coding experience would be beneficial

• Technical knowledge in an HVAC and Central Plant or energy solutions environments

Essential

• Technical school graduate

• Great interpersonal skills

• Current QLD driver's license

• Understanding of WHS importance

• Excellent knowledge of engineering principles

• High level of technical competency

• An interest in finding solutions and solving problems

• The ability to build excellent relationships with clients

• Excellent verbal & written communication and reporting skills

• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.

• Reliable, self-motivated and well presented.

• A thorough understanding of engineering fundamentals including heat & mass transfer, heat exchange, thermodynamics, psychometrics, physics, and electrical principles.

• Computer literacy, written skills and numerical capability
