Job Summary:
Trane Federal OCONUS team Sustainability Manager Intern to join our team. In this role you will be the primary point of contact for assigned Federal ESPC programs. During the performance phase of an ESPC program this role will work closely with the customer to ensure that the responsibilities of Trane and the client under Task Order are consistently met and in compliance. This role will be responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of the performance period processes in its goal of operational excellence, support of overall strategic objectives, and accountable for overall project financial results. This role will be expected to expand Trane’s presence on the assigned site. Actively looking for opportunities to grow the company’s service base and product presence within the facilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled meetings to update client on the performance of the systems
- Ensure all safety training is completed on time and actively utilized by assigned personnel and subcontractors – this will include tracking of all safety metrics and performance of safety reviews
- Identify deficiencies in the maintenance responsibilities and the root cause of those deficiencies, including possible solutions to resolve.
- Coordinating all Measurement and Verification data collections, the initiation of the annual performance guarantee report and delivery of the annual report to the customer
- Act as Trane’s representative for services as contacted under the Task Order
- Managing the scope of the requirements under Task Order such as scheduling resources, activities and ensuring that response times are met per the contractual requirements.
- Administrative responsibility for office equipment, assigned personnel, tools, vehicles, and general responsibilities as assigned
- Act as the advocate within Trane for the assigned customers, including ensuring that any client concerns or issue are resolved to their satisfaction
- Actively assist customers with identifying opportunities to improve overall facility performance
- Assist customer with budget planning for future energy projects.
- Serve as a consultant resource for technology, energy performance, products and services that will continually enhance the customers facility
- Resource for customer training, whether it is scheduled training classes or facilitating one on one systems training on site.
- Responsible for the management of the financial aspects of the agreement – includes managing Trane budget, subcontractor resources, forecasting
- Ensures that quality standards are maintained, after an order is closed, for contracting process and functions required for execution and customer satisfaction, including new equipment, existing building services, and building automation.
- Overall contracting responsibility for the following functions within the categories of new equipment, existing building services, and building automation: order validation, order entry, order follow up, customer inquiry, engineering, submittals, service operations, building automation operations, project management, technical support, warranties, claims, and resource allocations.
- Develops or works with team leaders to establish required skill sets, talents, and capabilities.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff as needed.
- Provide Project Management of additional opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in facilities and energy savings performance contracting preferred.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes associated with the installation of building automation systems and turnkey projects preferred.
- EM 385 certification preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
