Trane Technologies develops future leaders through its Graduate Training Program. We are currently recruiting recent graduates who are excited to participate in our 15-week rotational development Energy Engineer program. You will learn from experts in the field, who are committed to preparing you for a rewarding career in Energy Engineering. GTP provides you with intensive technical, business, and leadership training, with an emphasis on maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards. You will begin work and your onboarding with your team at a predetermined office locationIn this program, you will:  

  • Travel to multiple company locations for practical, in-person learning experiences related to this career. 

  • Hear about "real world" projects from Trane Technologies leaders.   

  • Complete meaningful assignments; and participate in individual and team projects.  

  • Gain the skillset and confidence to thrive as a full-time Energy Engineer in your local sales office.

What you will do:    

After successfully completing the Trane Technologies Energy Engineer Graduate Training Program, you will assume the responsibilities of an Energy Engineer, in a predetermined office location.   

As an Energy Engineer, you will convert data into actionable insight to deliver results for clients, becoming a trusted advisor. Your work helps our customers continuously optimize their facilities and fulfill their mission more efficiently.  

Based on your area of focus, your role will entail a combination of the following:  

  • Effectively analyze and assess the economic impacts of utility company rate structures and supply side options in a wide variety of customer environments.   

  • Qualify client and opportunity, then layout preliminary and detailed audit scope analysis.   

  • Perform building “walk-through” and identify energy conservation measures (architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.   

  • Assist with energy simulation models utilizing fundamental HVAC principles, and understanding utility business operations, and consultative, solution selling.  

  • Provide routine consultations to give insights into the client’s energy use, building operations, technical support/training needs, indoor environmental quality, and asset management.   

  

Compensation Information:  

·       Pay Range $75,000

·       Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of function, class year, and geographic location where the work is performed.  

 

What you will bring:     

·       Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferred disciplines: Energy, Mechanical or Electrical.  

·       Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. 

·       This posting is for multiple opportunities. Some positions may be remote while others may require a hybrid or onsite assignment at one of our facilities across North America. 

·       Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, ability to provide proof of insurance, and have no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: 

o   DUI in the previous 3 years 

o   Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
