What you will do:

The Billing Analyst Intern is responsible for duties related to supporting billing entries for commercial sales offices, manufacturing plants, Record to Report and other Trane Technologies entities.  This position requires learning multiple computer systems and accurately performing in a transaction-based environment.  This position is responsible for accurate preparation of routine invoices as well as special custom invoices to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for daily and monthly balancing and resolving out of balance situations.
•    Enter Billing transactions to perform journal entries that require an audit trail.
•    Consolidate customer invoicing into a single balanced transaction.
•    Miscellaneous transactions that are manually keyed.
•    Entry of invoices into third party and owner web sites as required by the customer.
•    Perform reconciliations for select accounts.
•    Process billing holds.
•    Support Credit and Collections and Sales offices in relation to invoicing transactions including the generation of Proforma invoices.
•    Project Administration tasks working closely with Independent office personnel
•    Various projects as assigned, including some routine tasks and special projects.   
This position is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Applicants must currently reside in the La Crosse area in order to be considered, as internships require year-round availability while attending school full time.  Preferred candidates would have at two school years remaining. Hours are flexible, but student must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during the school year and 40 hours per week with approved overtime during the summer and breaks. 

What you will bring:

Minimum sophomore, full-time student status in a 4-year program with accounting, finance, or related field required. 
Must be detail conscious, responsible, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact and build relationships with team personnel, Trane commercial offices, business units, and all Trane customers.
Must be PC literate and proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must exhibit a solid professional business image with a team player attitude
Ability to effectively communicate judgment decisions required.
The employee is frequently required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. This position works in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Currently the team is working in a remotely with a future possibility of being back in an office in a limited manner.
